NO GIVING UP! A Concert for a Cause

During the intermission, Laoag City Liga ng mga Barangay President and Sangguniang Panlungsod Ex-officio member Hon. Chevylle V. Farinas, a member of the HSAL Batch ’86 mentioned in her speech that she was so touched and couldn’t hold back her tears upon hearing the first note of the song ‘What Matters Most’. According to her, she would have wanted the song to be her wedding song and the LCJ Choir singing it.

The members of the Holy Spirit Academy of Laoag Batch ’86 then went up the stage to present the proceeds of the concert amounting to P65,500.00 to the City Jail Warden. In addition, Fariñas also promised that she will personally help out in the acquisition of materials needed for the construction of a separate female cell so that the proceeds of the concert will be allotted to other developmental projects.
